The latest climate research shows that plants are absorbing far more carbon dioxide (CO2) than the establishment has long claimed. This means the planet is not at risk of melting from “greenhouse gases” after all because plants are using those gases to thrive.
All this time, the climate lobby has been relying on incorrect and often falsified data to back the bizarre claim that carbon dioxide (CO2) is a pollutant that is destroying the world. Now, it has been proven once and for all that CO2 is a precious plant molecule, without which there would be no life on earth.
It turns out the “settled science” we were all told to just forget about and obey was not so settled after all. Plants love CO2 way more than the climate lobby was willing to admit, and now their religion is taking a major hit as the entire anti-CO2 narrative crumbles.
“The phrase ‘settled science’ has been the bedrock of climate advocacy for decades,” says Charles Rotter from Watts Up With That.
“We’ve been told that if we don’t make rapid, costly changes, we’d face imminent disaster. Skeptics were treated as heretics, while the so-called consensus was portrayed as unquestionable. Yet, it turns out we were 31% wrong about something as fundamental as plant CO2 absorption. This isn’t a minor correction; it’s a massive revision that undermines the credibility of models driving policy.”

There are three main pillars of modern-day climate theory that the new study effectively decimates: emission impact, feedback loops and policy. Concerning emissions, it can no longer be said that CO2 is building up in the atmosphere now that we know plants are absorbing all of that excess.
“Climate models predicted rapid CO2 buildup, assuming limited natural absorption,” Rotter explains. “This inflated the urgency of drastic emissions cuts. Correcting for higher CO2 absorption rates means that CO2 accumulates in the atmosphere slower than models predicted, weakening the case for urgent, economy-wrenching measures.”
Many existing climate change models likewise rely on dramatic feedback loops, one of them claiming that plants absorb increasingly less CO2 the warmer temperatures get. These feedback loops might generate the fear necessary to procure more climate funding, but they are patently false as this new data shows that plants are capable of handling far more CO2 than previously believed.
As for the policy implications of this new revelation about plant absorption of CO2, well, just about everything currently enshrined in law concerning climate change and global warming is based on what has now been completely debunked as pseudoscience. In other words, the entirety of climate theory is a lie.
“Policies driven by these models were never proven to be beneficial, but were only assumed to be so,” Rotter says. “The discovery that plants are absorbing significantly more CO2 undermines the supposed need for extreme measures.”
Another area worth mentioning includes the financial implications of this new revelation. All of those Integrated Assessment Models (IAMs) that were used to develop cost-benefit analyses for often expensive climate policies are now void because the data they relied on has been thoroughly debunked.
“If climate sensitivity is indeed lower, it means we have more time to adapt to any changes, that may in fact be natural, rather than rush into drastic mitigation measures that haven’t been proven to work,” Rotter maintains.
“Adaptation becomes a more reasonable and potentially effective strategy, given the new information on natural absorption rates.”
